• Description:
• Haiti's vulnerability to flooding is amplified in some areas by the accumulation of waste in drainage channels, exposing local populations to persistent hazards and hygiene and public health problems. The project aims to reduce exposure to flooding and raise community awareness of good hygiene practices to improve the living conditions of displaced people (both in the sites and in host families) and the surrounding community, particularly in areas targeted by cholera.The objective is achieved through clean-up activities through cash-for-work activities at community level (cleaning canals, improving drainage) and hygiene promotion activities (including the distribution of hygiene kits). Proposals must be aligned with WASH sector standards and strategy to meet the needs of the population living in the sites and host communities.
